[ Is smut gross? ] 🤔
I just read a post that made me think.
Someone said that smut is gross, sexualizing idols is dehumanizing… and that we (smut bloggers) have no personality besides nsfw posts.
I mean no disrespect for the person who wrote this or the people that agree, we are all free to like or dislike things and we follow what we identify with. They’re free to express their opinion just as I think I am.I can’t speak for every blogger, but I know that my blog is a lot more than “just” a smut blog. Mind you, I’m not saying this in a cocky way nor do I think that I am better than anyone, however I most certainly am not JUST a smut blog or GROSS for it.
This blog is first of all a place where I share my love for BTS, for who they are, their qualities, their talents, good moments, achievements and whatever I feel like sharing. It’s a place where people that like the same kind of things get together, meet each other, make friends and find a SAFE place with NO judgement to express themselves and their sexuality. It is a place where I write smut and give form to what is in my mind and yes, it is sexual, but is in no way degrading or disrespectful because that is NOT my intention.
I started as an instagram fan page (not smut) and found out that giving daily updates on the boys was unsustainable when the summer ended and I got back to uni so I came to tumblr and made a fun little smut blog (with no followers). I never thought that in 6 months I would have more than 14,000 people following me and my smut little reactions and posts but I am grateful for that.
My blog is a place of love, acceptance, way beyond smut. I answer asks about people’s journey of self discovery, not only sexually but with their personal growth. I try to help as much as I can, and my followers are so sweet and we have such a healthy little community that often times I get asks from some followers trying to help others or even in the comments, and that shows the good in all of you guys’ hearts.
We come together to talk about the boys, to talk freely, express ourselves shamelessly and fantasize (and there’s NOTHING wrong with that!) but we go beyond that and create as I said, a safe place where friends help each other.
Being gross and disrespectful to BTS is starting fan wars, spreading hate on their social media, making mean comments on their lives or pictures just because you like one member more than the others. Being gross is being a “fan” that doesn’t support their choices, personal lives, family, personal space, don’t accept change and think that they OWE you something, as if they work for you.
I NEVER used “excuses” like “I do it because they’ll never see it, so it’s ok”, because I DON’T NEED excuses for expressing myself. It’s so hypocritical to judge smut blogs, like you never had a fantasy with someone famous or one of the boys and even if you never did, the fact that others do, and like to express it shouldn’t be such a bother to you. No one is coming inside your house and making you read smut. They boys themselves are sexual beings like we are, Namjoon talked openly MANY times about the porn they ILLEGALLY download and watch… isn’t that “gross” for you then? Isn’t that “disrespectful”? Do you think they don’t fantasize about people too? Have you heard Suga’s lyrics in cypher pt.3 or Agust D? Sex is all around us, and how we choose to express it and live it is our choice. No one should be judged for that. Grossness and evilness is in the mind of those who spread hate, we only spread love around here 💕
The post I saw wasn’t directed to me or anyone in particular but it made me think about how people like to judge something they don’t understand.
Tag a smut blog you like and tell me in the comments what you think about this. Let’s keep it positive ^^
