Hey love, I don’t think it’s the same thing. We can all imagine how it would be to be a vampire or some kind of supernatural creatures because we all “know” how it should be. We’ve seen it in movies, tv shows, books, etc etc and there’s no actual vampires or mermaids out there that could get offended if we portray them poorly which gives us freedom to do as we please. Yes, we do see gay couples everywhere but I’ve never been in a gay (guy-guy) relationship so I don’t know the dynamics, I don’t have a dick, I don’t know how it feels like to have one, or the right things to say as a guy and the last thing i want is to sound disrespectful to anyone. All I know is girl-guy intimate interactions (and some girl-girl C;). I’m a girl and I write as such and tbh I feel like some of my reactions don’t have to be “for girls” as they don’t mention female body parts or anything (but ofc my imagines are). I guess it’s personal preference and opinion. Some girls can probably do it very well, but I don’t think I can and I value everyone that follows me a lot and I read and research a lot about the lgbtq+ community, their stories and struggles and I try to learn as much as I can about it, not for the blog but for my personal knowledge and growth because I think disrespect, hate, fights, bullying, etc come from ignorance and not knowing enough about the things we think we can judge. So I won’t be trying to represent a reality that is not my own and that I don’t feel comfortable doing knowing I could offend someone just because “people who write mermaid aus aren’t mermaids or pirates themselves either”. Fantasy and reality are very different things. That’s why during the month of June I had my submissions open to celebrate pride month and told you guys to send me lgbtq+ reactions and posts for me to share. It seemed like a better way to do it. I’m sure you’ll find lgbtq+ bts blogs out there and I’ll be sharing the ones that come my way. Hope this answered your question ^^

I’m doing this kind of “internship” (?) during july from 9am to 6pm and going to the gym (or trying to lol) at night so I’m having very little time for the blog. I’ll do my best to stay active on the weekends 😭 I’m sorry it’s the best I can do for now
